Nutrition

Loffieland caters for the total nutritional needs of your child. We do not skimp on any aspect of healthy eating and ensure that your child receives a balanced and varied diet. The day starts with breakfast, which daily consists of mealie porridge or oats porridge. At 10:00 the children receive a fresh fruit and cold drink and at 14:30 a snack box (provided by parents).
Lunch is the main meal of the day and we follow a 3-weekly cycle for the lunch menu:

 Week One Menu:

Day 1 -  Mince, rice, green beans, pumpkin and tomato salad
Day 2 -  Fish fingers, mashed potatoes, sweet carrots, mixed salad and beetroot salad
Day 3 -  Thick vegetable soup, sandwich or vetkoek (in winter) or Macaroni/cheese/polony, mixed salad, carrot salad, beetroot salad
Day 4 -  Spaghetti Bolognaise, apples mixed salad, orange salad and pudding
Day 5 -  Chicken-a-la-king, rice, beans, pumpkin, tomato salad

 Week Two Menu:

Day 1 -  Spaghetti Bolognaise, beetroot, sweet carrots, tomato salad and pudding
Day 2 -  Thick vegetable soup, sandwich or  vetkoek (in winter) or Macaroni/tuna/cheese, mixed salad, sweet carrot 
Day 3 -  Chicken-a-la-king, rice, beans, carrot salad, tomato salad
Day 4 -  Mince, rice, pumpkin, sweet carrots, apples
Day 5 -  Fish fingers, potatoes, beetroot salad, tomato salad, carrot salad

 Week Three Menu:

Day 1 -  Mince, rice, pumpkin, green beans, carrot salad
Day 2 -  Chicken, rice, peas, carrot salad, tomato salad
Day 3 -  Spaghetti Bolognaise, sweet carrots, beetroot, mixed salad and pudding
Day 4 -  Fish fingers, mashed potatoes, orange salad, carrot salad, tomato salad
Day 5 -  Soup and sandwich or vetkoek (in winter) or Macaroni/cheese/polony, carrot salad, tomato salad, apple salad
